i have crafted every mine

I can’t think of any way to share my dumb minecraft bullshit that is better than making a BLOG POST, so that is what I will do. I’m sure the stuff I’ve built isn’t all that exciting compared to a lot of people, but whatever.

This is my house. I wanted to add some pretty accents, but scavenging enough clay for all that  brick in the first place was a fucking nightmare, so I’ll add to it next time I find some. That said, I’m pretty sure I strip-mined all the clay out of every island in a mile radius, so I don’t know if that’ll actually happen. Unfortunately I can’t go out on the balcony; you bump your head on the glass because the deck is half a block tall.

Here’s what it looks like on the inside. Creepers waiting patiently out the window not pictured. There’s an upper floor with some nice bay windows and even more empty space because there’s not a whole lot to decorate with yet. Side note: I would love to have some lanterns or something, just for a light source that doesn’t look dumb as hell indoors.

The basement. Behind me is a small lava pit I can throw shit into. One chest is for food, one chest is for building materials, and the other one is for

…all of the filthy lucre I have collected. I haven’t bothered to smelt most of the gold because I have literally nothing to do with it. Maybe I’ll build a shrine.

Budding tree farm out there on the left, along with the land bridge that is taking fucking forever to spread grass across. I can’t figure out how the hell trees work. I was purposely trying to cultivate a huge tree or two on that island in the middle, and only ended up with a ton of dinky trees. I plopped a bunch of saplings randomly on the tree farm- half of them grew to medium size and one became one of the biggest fucking trees I’ve ever seen. i d g i

This railroad runs through/around and past the island with all the trees on it, visible in the background of the last picture. That said, you can’t actually get a mine cart all the way to the end because I’m terrible at physics or something. (dear notch please improve powered minecarts tia love taera age 5) Also, that isn’t actually a large tree, it’s three tiny trees grown on top of each other. I resorted to this because the game hates me.

Here’s the island in question. It has a river I built running through the middle (note my ghetto bridge) and I’m hoping to build a treehouse on it. The trees, however, are not cooperating.

I also have a tiny cabin, which was the first house I built, with a skinny lookout tower on top that reaches up to cloud level. It’s across from my brick house.

My new project, when I’m not ripping out half of the railroad and re-laying the track one block higher. It’s going to be a lighthouse. Windows will come later. That said, I’m quickly realizing this is going to take a fucking disgusting amount of stone to build. The base in the picture took a couple hundred smooth stone. at least it’s not brick lmao

This is everything of note I’ve built in my singleplayer game, aside from a bunch of dirt towers and a handful of makeshift bunkers scattered around when I tunneled up in the middle of the night and got stranded. That said,

Looking up through the roof. I decided to leave it open to let some light in; I think it makes it feel more ‘cozy’ as opposed to just ‘cramped’.

Somebody had just kinda left a ribcage lying around, so I started adding to it and it… got out of hand. I did eventually finish it (though I need to lengthen his feet a bit) but didn’t take a picture.

DEATH IS CERTAIN (unfortunately the eyes burn out incredibly fast, i have no idea why)

Oh yeah and just for fun, here’s a picture of what my video card does in Minecraft. Periodically a random block will be fucked up or have stretched polygons or something, and as a result I’ll be able to see through it. This has actually been incredibly handy in terms of saving me from drowning one time, but it feels a little like cheating. That said, it’s kind of cool to be able to see the extent of the shit you’ve excavated.

• finish cleaning my room
• start backing up shit in preparation for operation flatten and reinstall

Oh dear, I seem to have dropped the Constitution

So I was thinking about dumb political bullshit in the shower- story of my life- and more specifically, thinking about how there’s evidence that various founding fathers may have been gay. I really don’t remember how I got around to that topic, but I was trying to remember which specific people had evidence like that. Some of the arguments are flimsy, but there are a few you can make a definite case for. Either way, for some reason, it hit me.

There has to be founding fathers slash.

Seriously. There are already fandoms for real people slash. I was about to type ‘there has to be historical figure slash’ up there, but then I realized it already exists and I am quite uncomfortably aware of it. ‘Hitler’ and ‘OTP’ should never, ever be in the same sentence.

But really, it has to exist out there somewhere. You’ve already got powdered wigs and girly tights, and think about the pairing possibilities! Shit, I haven’t even bothered to check yet- there’s probably a whole folder full of crap over on ygallery or rule34 or something that I’ll discover immediately after posting this.

By all means, if anyone has evidence of this, let me know. I WILL BE VINDICATED.
